While many of our staff are lawyers, we cannot provide you with legal advice or help you with a specific legal problem.<\/p>\n<div class='content-column one_half'><p>Our resources contain general information about the law for people in Ontario, Canada. They are not intended to be used as legal advice for any specific legal problem.<\/p>\n<p>If you are looking for legal information for a person who is <strong>under 18<\/strong> years old, we recommend the <a href=\"http:\/\/jfcy.org\/en\/you-have-rights\/\">Legal Rights Wiki<\/a> created by <a href=\"http:\/\/jfcy.org\">Justice for Children and Youth<\/a>, which provides legal services to youth under 18 and homeless youth under 25.<\/p>\n<p>If you are looking for information that applies to <strong>adults<\/strong>, or general legal information within the province of Ontario, we recommend <a href=\"http:\/\/stepstojustice.ca\">Steps to Justice<\/a>, created by <a href=\"http:\/\/cleo.on.ca\">Community Legal Education Ontario<\/a>. (See right for topics and links)<\/p>\n<p>If you need legal advice, you can find a lawyer using the <a href=\"https:\/\/lsrs.lsuc.on.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Law Society Lawyer Referral Service<\/a>. They will connect you with a lawyer or licensed paralegal who will speak with you for up to 30 minutes for free.
