\"cja-2007-kristen-bucci\"<\/a> Kristen Bucci, lawyer in private practice in Thunder Bay, past president of the Thunder Bay Lawyers’ Association is the 2007 OJEN Chief Justices’ Award recipient.<\/p>\n

Kristen took the initiative to spearhead justice education activities in Thunder Bay, establishing a local Committee, initiating a mock trial competition and facilitating Adopt-a-School matches with all high schools and elementary schools in the city. She has cultivated a broad base of support from members of the bar to support these activities, while also making strong connections with the community, involving the local TV stations and schools board in planning. In each of these efforts Kristen has developed the ideas and the base of support to ensure that students have positive exposure to the justice system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
