Each resource includes a short lesson plan for the teacher; a plain language description of the legal topic; and activities that provide students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of the topic.<\/p>\n<p>This handout provides students with an overview of s. 8 of the <em>Charter<\/em>, including what privacy interests it protects and what constitutes a violation of s. 8. Students are introduced to the concept of \u2018reasonable expectation of privacy\u2019 and how it relates to our protection under s. 8 of the <em>Charter<\/em>. They will enhance their understanding of different types of searches, including consent searches, searches with a warrant, \u2018hot pursuit\u2019 searches and those that are unconstitutional.
