Kristy Pagnutti

I am responsible for strategic direction and oversight of day-to-day operations at OJEN.  Over the past seven+ years, I have worked in all of OJEN’s departments. 

Why I work at OJEN:

I started working at OJEN as a second-year law student. I was happy to learn there was an organization that combined my passions for education, law, and social justice. I have a passion for sharing practical knowledge and skills about the law, but I never take for granted how much I learn from the young people in our programs.   

3 things I did before OJEN:

1. I worked as an English teacher in a refugee camp where I learned how to teach engaging lessons with very few resources. 
2. I taught gifted programs at an elementary school in Toronto. After coaching the students’ debate team and running mock trials, I decided it was time for me to attend law school.
3. I hiked 310km of the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
